SEPT 19 - FRI - ARCOSANTI TOUR
Carpool will leave the fitness center lot at 8:00am. Arcosanti, a project of
the nonprofit Cosanti Foundation, is a prototype arcology (architecture and
ecology) under construction that when completed, will house 5,000 people by
combining compact urban structure with large-scale solar greenhouses on 25 acres
of a 4,000 acre preserve. Arcosanti is spectacular-looking architecture that
rises dramatically from basalt cliffs near Cordes Junction, 65 miles north of
Phoenix off I-17 and exit 262. Paolo Soleri was born in Turin, Italy, where
he received his doctorate of architecture. The 1-hour tour is $8.00/ea, there
is a gift gallery, cafe and bakery. Lunch is extra. Please RSVP by Sept

OCT 12 - SUN - COCKTAIL PARTY
5:00 pm in the Overlook Room. Free to members, nonmembers $15.00.
Appetizers, buffet style, we pay for drinks. Let's get together and spend a
delightful evening and welcome back the snowbirds. Hosted by Lyle and Linda
Parker.

OCT 24 - 25TH - RED MTN GARAGE SALE
Friday and Saturday. This is a well-known and publicized event that the
community looks forward to each year. New volunteers are needed to keep this
tradition going, many positions are still open. Please contact Jay Williamson

NOV 6 - THURS - FASHION SHOW
11:30 registration, $20 for this men and women's fashion show luncheon (no
host cocktails); drinks and dessert included. Dillard's will contribute
their latest fall fashions using our own RMRCC models. Please invite your
family and friends as there will be a 50/50 drawing (3 tickets for $5), door
prizes and gift certificates. Please RSVP by October 30th by sending your check

DEC 3 - WED COOKIE EXCHANGE
We are looking for a volunteer to host this event in their home (someone that
hasn't done it yet). From my own personal experience, this is one of
those OMG can these women at RMR bake! -- You don't want to miss out on
